Proteins are delicate and need extensive care and practice to handle with. Poly Acrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (PAGE) is a powerful technique for the isolation of proteins from complex samples. It will embrace sample preparation for protein isolation, preparation of buffers, protein extraction, quantification and Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE), visualization of protein bands by fast staining. The trainees will get understanding of basic principle behind this technique and familiarity with the set-up of SDS-PAGE.
